The goal is to defeat the enemy general within the time limit. Your general is immobile and you must give commands to your army.

This is my first game jam game (actually my first game). 

The tiny sprite people reminded me of the tiny sprite armies in DragonForce. I roughly got the battle system, but without the strategic map, the game feels very different.

There are a ton of things I'd like to fix/improve but that's the fun of a Game Jam
At some point I may revisit this to add features like:

  • Sound
  • Less bugs
  • Fix z-ordering issues
  • Unit balancing

This game can be played in browser, but the physics gets buggy (collisions sometimes get missed) and unit placement is more painful (you can click and drag to place units in the downloadable versions)

cool game!

Cool idea and game mechanics, but I get stuck on the tree all the time... 

I don't have too bad eyesight but the text is absolutely tiny.

Sorry about the text, most of it got added right at the end

I'm already working on a post-Jam version which cleans a bunch of things like that up. The text size should probably be bigger, and I should be using a backdrop behind the text since there are spots where it's super hard to read. 
There's some layering bugs that make it all worse too.
